Waiting months for your RSA invitation? Cancelled driving test slots come up every day — iTest auto-booking watches around the clock and books one that fits your centres and dates.
Besides waiting for your invitation from the waiting list, RSA releases slots from other people’s cancellations every day on MyRoadSafety. Most are for tests within the next few days, so you don’t have to wait months — but they’re first come, first served and usually gone within minutes. Refreshing the site yourself rarely works.
1. Connect your RSA account — sign in with your RSA email and password, or with MyGovID. Your password is stored encrypted.
2. Choose where and when — any centre, a county or specific centres, and exclude the dates, weekdays and times you can’t do.
3. We watch 24/7 — the moment a matching slot appears, we book it using the test fee already on your RSA account.
4. You get an email — RSA sends its confirmation too, and the test shows in your MyRoadSafety account.
The free plan covers every test centre in Ireland, for tests from tomorrow to 7 days out — and it stays free. With every centre in the country counted, it has the widest reach and the best chance of a slot; the tests are all coming up soon (as early as tomorrow), so it suits anyone in a hurry.
Each run lasts 7 days (or until you’re booked); when it ends, just start a new one, as many times as you like. Prefer specific centres only? You can choose them too (paid plans from €10).
• Car (Category B) driving test
• You’re eligible to sit the test (learner permit, EDT lessons, first permit held for 6 months)
We check all of this when you connect your account.

No. iTest.ie is an independent service and is not affiliated with the Road Safety Authority (RSA). Tests are booked in your own MyRoadSafety account, and RSA sends you its usual confirmation.
RSA says short-notice tests can’t be cancelled or rescheduled after booking. That’s why you choose the centres, dates, weekdays and times you can do before we start — only exclude what you really can’t make.
According to RSA, cancelled short-notice slots become available to you once 15 days have passed after an unsuccessful test. You also need to reapply so the test fee is back on your account.
No. Bookings use the test fee credit already on your RSA account. We never pay RSA with your card.
Your password is encrypted in your browser before it is saved, and only our booking server can decrypt it — to sign in to RSA for you. You can delete your auto-booking data at any time.
There’s no guarantee — it depends on how many slots your chosen centres release and how flexible your dates and times are. Choosing more centres and excluding fewer times gives you a better chance.
